CAPSTONE STUFF
Every Senior completes a Capstone project. It should be viewed as an opportunity to do any or all of the following:
Showcase your art and explain how you got to be so good at it and where you intend to go next.
Provide you with a kind of closure and the opportunity to say goodbye (for now) to CO-OP and all the people you know and love (or at least can tolerate) here.
Make a statement, send an important message, or otherwise draw our attention to an idea or lesson (one that is respectful and appropriate even as it challenges our comfort and complacency) you feel it is important for us to understand.
Entertain us; makes us laugh; make us cry; make us rise from our seats and applaud the gift you have given us.
Mostly, your Capstone (like much else in your life) should not be about you; it should be about what you, as an artist and a decent human being, can do for others . . . because we are so much happier when we pursue a purpose that is greater than ourselves.
